Come and celebrate the 52nd Anniversary of Friends of Manchester Trees. Meet up with Friends, both familiar and new, complete with delicious hours d'oeuvres, refreshing libations, and an engaging guest speaker, Bill Moomaw, Professor Emeritus, Tufts University.

Due to expected wet weather on Thursday, July 10th, we have decided to move the event to the Manchester American Legion Hall.
Friends of Manchester Trees to host annual Summer Soiree featuring guest speaker, Dr. William (Bill) Moomaw, Professor Emeritus of International Environmental Policy at Tufts University. Bill Moomaw was a lead author of the Nobel Prize-winning 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. He is a dynamic speaker who has studied the role of old-growth trees in helping to achieve ‘net negative’ green-house gas emissions through forest management he calls ‘proforestation.' His talk is entitled, “Seeing Forests and the Trees: Vital Organs for a Living Planet”
